Amanda Baker is an author, poet, blogger and comedy performer. Her adult novels include The Companion Contract and Eating the Vinyl. Amanda also writes adventure books for younger readers under the pseudonym Adnam Arekab.

Her poetry and a short story were published by Iron Press and she illustrated her own mixed-race poetry, picture book fairy story Ella & the Knot Fairies. Her most recent publication Zero One Zero Two is a sci-fi dystopian novella which has a back story unnervingly similar to NASA’s recent discovery of new exo-planets. Earlier this year Amanda performed for delegates at the Scottish Parliament for Environment Week.

As well as being a writer Amanda has been a national comedy finalist described as “the genetically modified love child of Rory Bremner, Benjamin Zephaniah and Pam Ayres!”
