Our aim is to be a welcoming and inclusive church and we are involved in the community throughout the year in a number of ways, from the Edinburgh Festival Fringe to small business incubation. Our buildings at Nicolson Square are a focus for worship for people from Edinburgh and the surrounding area. The Well Café provides hot food and drink everyday from 9am – 3pm. The cafe is part of the Edinburgh Community Cafe network. We serve all-day breakfast, coffees, teas and soft drinks; panini; homemade soup; a choice of hot main lunch meal, homemade cakes and is a great place for informal gatherings as well. Please ask about our outside catering and buffets too.
Room Hire – we have excellent facilities and hire out meeting rooms and other spaces for community and commercial use. We host day conferences and weddings, computer classes, aikido, support groups. We have reduced rates for charity groups. Please click here for more information.
We provide information about Capital Credit Union‘s financial advice and services which can help people with savings, loans and mortgages. Our weekly information sessions are every Tuesday from 1pm – 3pm in The Well Cafe / Reception at 25 Nicolson Square, EH8 9BX.
We host a creative project called The Dream Factory, which includes support for small business incubation. The first business to be up-and-running is Hope’s Garden, an aromatherapy small business run by Angela Wells.
Since 2014, we have been an Edinburgh Festival Fringe venue. Our partnership with Greenside Venues allows us to host more than 30 performances annually, with visitors numbering in the thousands.
We work very closely with YMCA Edinburgh who are based in Leith, working with children, young people, families and adults to transform lives and bring lasting change to local communities.
