The Vision of the City of Edinburgh Methodist Church is to become an inclusive community in the heart of the city where we share God’s love through working with and for others, to transform our community and the world.
You can be sure of a warm welcome in our church, whether this is your first experience of a Christian church or you have been a member of a church for many years. If like most people, you have questions and doubts, you will find that we are all on a journey of faith. Though we all experience joy and sadness the church is a worshipping community in which we can share our successes and concerns and offer support to one another.
The City of Edinburgh Methodist Church is within the Edinburgh and Forth Circuit, which is part of the Scotland District of the British Methodist Church. We also recognise the importance of our involvement in the local, wider and inter-faith communities. Some of the ways in which this is expressed are through our active membership of Southside Community Group, the Edinburgh Interfaith Association, the Leith Acorn Centre YMCA work to name but a few.
Deacon Belinda Letby is the minister and she is supported by a team of ordained ministers and church workers, all of whom would be pleased to answer any questions about our activities.
The City of Edinburgh Methodist Church is a registered charity number: SC039655
