One of the strengths of Methodism is the mutual support and accountability which comes with being a ‘connexional’ church. This often means that ministers are needed to move to serve particular needs in different areas. In response to a request to fill a strategically important vacancy, our superintendent, Andrew Letby, will be leaving the Edinburgh and Forth Circuit this summer to take up the superintendency of the Croydon Circuit in the London District. This has come as a surprise to both him and his wife, Deacon Belinda Letby, minister here at the City of Edinburgh Methodist Church. Belinda will of course be moving with him.
We wish Andrew and Belinda well in this exciting new stage of their ministry and will continue to hold them in our prayers.
