Ministry News: Congratulations Belinda and Sarah!

We are delighted to announce that Deacons Belinda Letby and Sarah McDowall have passed the final stage of their probation.  Belinda has been recommended to be accepted into Full Connexion as a minister in the Methodist Church, to be Ordained and admitted as a full member of the Methodist Diaconal Order.  Sarah will also be admitted to full Connexion and as a full member of the Methodist Diaconal Order.  She is of course already Ordained, having transferred from the Church of Scotland ministry.

We offer our congratulations and share their joy at this news, which comes at the end of a long journey of discernment, interview and study.

The services to mark these occasions will take place during Methodist Conference, on July 1st, firstly in the morning in Plymouth and later in the day at Gwennap Pit in Cornwall.  A ‘Testimony Service’ will be arranged in the circuit, on a date to be arranged.  That will be our chance to mark these very special events more locally.
