We are thrilled that Deacon Elizabeth Harfleet, part of our ministry team here, will be ordained this summer. We celebrate Elizabeth’s call and her achievement in reaching this stage in her ministerial life.
Prior to her full ordination, Elizabeth will have her Testimony Service here at the City of edinburgh Methodist Church on Wednesday 30 May at 7pm.
All are invited to this special service and to those to be held in July.
We are delighted that Deacon Elizabeth Harfleet has been recommended for ordination by the District Probationers Committee and will be received into full connexion and ordained at Methodist Conference this summer.
“The two services will take place on Sunday July 1st, with the reception into full connexion in Nottingham at 10.45am and the ordination in Southwell Minster at 5.30pm. If anyone would like to go to support Elizabeth and experience either or both of these impressive occasions, tickets will be available from Monday 9th April – more information and the link to book tickets is at http://www.methodist.org.uk/about-us/the-methodist-conference/conference-2018/ordinations/book-tickets/
“It may be possible to organise a group from the circuit to go together – if you would be interested please contact Louise in the office and she will advise.
“The Sunday morning service will be live streamed, and the City of Edinburgh Methodist Church will be joining with it for their morning service that day.
“I’m sure we will all want to offer Elizabeth our heartfelt congratulations and prayers in this important step on her journey.”
