Our Church Project for 2024-25 is Toilet Twinning
We are looking to twin the toilets here at 25 Nicolson Square, via Toilet Twinning
Toilet Twinning funds the work of international relief and development agency Tearfund. Our donation will be used to provide clean water, basic sanitation, and hygiene education.
The programmes ensure that people have access to clean water, learn about the importance of building a latrine and maintaining it, and also learn about hygiene principles such as hand-washing.
Water, sanitation and hygiene education work together to prevent the spread of disease. Children are healthier, and able to go to school; parents are well enough to work their land and grow enough food to feed their family. With better health, and more ability to earn a living, men and women discover the potential that lies within them to bring transformation.
When we twin our loos with a household latrine, we will receive a that features a photo of the twinned toilet, and its coordinates, so we can find it on Google Maps.
Each twinning costs £60; so with at least 28 toilets in the building, we have a target of at least £1,680
